Do Now: Teachers often encourage you to "show; don't tell" in descriptive writing.  Evaluate your Vignette Part II-- do you show and not tell?  Where do you think you could expand your descriptions?

Today's Objectives:

• to peer edit Vignettes and identify areas of revision
• to gather evidence for group essay

Agenda:

1) Do Now

2) In pairs, peer edit Vignettes.  On the draft, write TWO suggestions for revision.

3) In LOTF writing groups, review Step 5 of Writing Manual.

4) Continue to gather evidence for paper or start organizing body paragraphs

7) Summarizer: Evaluate your group: are you working effectively together?  Is your group able to gather enough evidence?

Homework: Revise your draft Vignette Part II. Final draft due Monday.
